Celynda Brasher Leads Session on Superintendents Contracts at MSBA 2009 Annual Conference

Firm Shareholder Celynda Brasher recently spoke at the Missouri School Board Association’s 2009 Annual Conference. The conference was a three-day event that was held at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri, and attracts public school administrators from around the state.

On Friday, October 23, 2009, Celynda conducted a session titled “Negotiating Superintendent Contracts”. The session addressed the process and content involved in negotiating superintendent contracts under Missouri law. It was intended to promote compliance with the law, encourage good relationships between board members and superintendents, and prevent unnecessary disputes regarding contract provisions. The session provided legal and practical guidance, including discussion of a sample contract.
