Ian Cooper has been elected a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and will be inducted into the College at a ceremony in Los Angeles, California in November. Ian was the only lawyer from Missouri who was elected to become a Fellow in the College in 2014. The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers is “a fellowship of the most accomplished members of the labor and employment law community” in the United States.

Tueth Keeney shareholder Ian Cooper recently argued the case of Keveney v. Missouri Military Academy before the Missouri Supreme Court on November 4, 2009. The appeal involves a legal issue of interest to almost all employers in the state of Missouri: whether or not an employee with an employment contract may sue for wrongful discharge and seek tort damages, such as emotional distress and punitive damages.
