John Reynolds and Robert Jackstadt successfully completed a two-week trial in Madison County, Illinois and secured a verdict of approximately $4.7 million dollars on behalf of the firm’s clients. At issue in the trial was whether the defendants”™ horizontal directional drilling operations near the Wood River Refinery in Hartford, Illinois had damaged an underground sewer belonging to the Plaintiffs. On September 29, 2006 the jury found defendants liable and awarded almost $ 4.7 million in damages.
The trial team for the plaintiffs consisted of Peter John, John Reynolds, Robert Jackstadt, and Mark Zehler. Mr. John served as lead counsel during the trial. Mr. John is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with the firm of Williams, Montgomery & John, based in Chicago, Illinois.
