Ian Cooper and John Reynolds won an appeal for ConocoPhillips in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on September 15, 2015. Ian and John sought reversal of a class certification order entered by the district court in a case involving environmental contamination and alleged property damage. In a unanimous opinion, the Eighth Circuit reversed the class certification order holding that the Plaintiffs had failed to establish that they suffered a common injury. Ian argued the case before the Eighth Circuit.
