5th Annual Bi-State Education Foundation Golf Tournament, Co-Sponsored by Tueth Keeney, a Success

Dozens of participants from Missouri and Illinois school districts gathered on June 3, 2009 to take part in the 5th Annual Bi-State Education Foundation Golf Tournament. Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt P.C. was proud to again be a major co-sponsor of the tournament. The Bi-State Education Foundation golf tournament is the primary fundraiser for the Bi-State Education Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide scholarships to public high school students in Missouri and Illinois.

Although there was a light rain and wind on the day of the tournament, participants had very positive things to say about the day. The activities started at 11:15 am with a law seminar, followed by a lunch at noon. The first place winners of the golf tournament were Brian Charon of Valmeyer Community Unit School District, and Mike Sutton from Highland Community Unit School District, both located in Illinois.

1st place: Brian Charon from Valmeyer CUSD — Illinois and Mike Sutton from Highland CUSD — Illinois .

2nd place: Steve Smith, Branden Gibbs, Dean Schulmeister, and Greg Mullican from Marion CUSD — Illinois.

3rd place:     Jim Yasitis, Jeff Faust, Bud Martin, and Jay Stemmley, team sponsored by Environmental Consultants.

Note: Suzette Lambert of Signal Hill Elementary District — Illinois won both the “longest drive” and “closest to the pin” contests.
