Tel: 314.880.3600 (Main) | aclendennen@tuethkeeney.com

Amy advises school districts in the St. Louis area and across the state on issues ranging from student discipline to personnel matters to special education. She has successfully represented school districts before various administrative agencies, including the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also litigated claims on behalf of school districts, colleges and universities, and private employers in state and federal courts. Amy is a sought-after and regular speaker at state-wide and regional educational conferences.

Amy is a three-term member of the Webster Groves School District Board of Education and currently serves as Board President. Amy understands the responsibilities and challenges of school board service. This makes her particularly effective at communicating with board members and working through issues such as board member roles and responsibilities.

Amy is also a strong advocate for public education and serves in leadership roles in several state education organizations. She is Chair of the MSBA Regional Executive Committee for the St. Louis region, Director and Vice-Chair of the Missouri Securities Investment Program (“MOSIP”), and is the legal liaison to the Missouri Academy for New Superintendents.

Amy’s parents, brothers, and numerous other family members have served as administrators and teachers in public education throughout Missouri. As the result of growing up in a family of educators, Amy has a deep commitment to the mission of Missouri schools.

Amy earned a Bachelor’s degree from Truman State University, a Master’s degree from Ball State University, and a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, all with honors.
